Designer Breakfasts was a hub for people who own or work in a creative business. Our events offered a chance to get out of the studio and hear from, meet and share ideas and experiences with your peers and competitors – and if you missed any of our speakers or are based away from London (there’s a global audience for British expertise), you can still catch up online by clicking on
Films.
Designer Breakfasts was established in 2005 by designers
Amanda Tatham and
Michael Abrahams, and then in collaboration with Pippa Crawford of The Ministry of Love until 2011, who ran events exploring the themes of entrepreneurship; new business models such as co-ownership and co-creation; selling creative thinking rather than simply outputs; and taking designers' vision to SMEs.
We grew a reputation for picking up on emerging trends and offering insights from some of the leading figures in the industry – and their clients. Our London breakfasts were held in partnership with the British Library, St Brides Library, BBH, Momentum and the Design Museum.
